Our music competition reaches its grand finale with a showdown between the final five acts.

 

Finalist 3: Rainy Boy Sleep WINNER

Rainy Boy Sleep is the collaboration of Artist Stevie Martin , a little bit of technology and a lot of originality. Founded last summer in Derry, Rainy Boy Sleep has already played Macfest and Celtronic Festivals and has been regulary featured on Stephen McCauleys Show ‘BBC Electric Mainline’

 

 

Finalist 1: Inner Sight

Alternative cosmic rock ensemble from Glasgow fuses bombastic dark riffage with celestial melodic harmony Along with themes of love and politics .This is incorporated well with the space-age Synth and tribal beats. All this woven together - with occasional spurts of passion from the violin, cello and piano is the fusion of Inner Sight.

Finalist 2: The Nova Mob

The Nova Mob formed in 2006 by Anthony McBride , John McClafferty, Colm Doherty and Tommy McBride are a talented alternative/progressive rock band who have just released their debut album ‘Nightcrawler’. They have already won the Battle of the Bands in Tonic Letterkenny last year and are planning gigs around the country hoping to gain a wider audience for their music.

 

 

Finalist 4: Fionn and Orlaith

Fionn Robinson and Orlaith Gilcreest are a Multi-Instrumental musical duo from the Letterkenny area. Together they can be heard playing an eclectic mix of music , flirting with jazz, folk and rock, and a recent performance during the earagail arts festival was warmly received.

 

Wild Card Entry: Jamaican Vampires

Jamaican Vampires are a band who have progressed hugely since their formation in 2008 when cousins Gabriel Blake, Leila Keeny, and Conal Doherty teamed up with Gary Hamilton and Karl Dunleavey to perform Leilas first original composition ‘Where I’m Alone’. Since the band's debut gig at the Loft at Halloween 2009 they have played gigs at Arena 7, Tonic Lounge and at this year's Party in The Park.
