Tom Crean (1877 – 1938) the intrepid Antarctic explorer and one of Ireland’s unsung heroes, is brought to life in this dramatic and humorous solo performance by Aidan Dooley. Crean’s story is a testament of human fortitude against all the elements of Antarctic, and described by historians as “the finest feat of individual heroism from the entire age of exploration”.

This Earagail Arts Festival finale concert culminates the 2 week programme with a line-up of local, national and international talent including Clannad lead vocalist Moya Brennan performing a repertoire of gospel fuelled songs with the Inishowen Gospel Choir.

This spectacular Irish dance show returns after its highly successful run last summer.The Rising Step brings you on a journey through the story of Irish dance from the time when the dance master visited homes to teach the steps, to the joyous dancing at the crossroads and right up to the present day.
