A new music competition to showcase emerging bands and solo acts from the North West. We'l be choosing a total of 16 acts to perform- four at each heat - with the winners from each night going forward to perform at the grand final on Sat 28 Aug. Your vote will count too as in addition to the four heat winners one 'wild card' entry will be selected from the audience votes from the heats. Want to take part? Find out how!

Kintra are a 12 piece group from Donegal, Tyrone and Derry. Kintra perform Irish & Scottish music, song and dance in an exciting and colourful stage show. Led by Matt McGranaghan on Fiddle and Darren Milligan on Bagpipes, the group features piano, tin whistle, guitar, bass, drums, three 2nd Pipers and 2 singers. For this concert Kintra will be joined by Glasgow born, Donegal Gaeltacht raised fiddle player Theresa Kavanagh and Manus Lunny of Capercaillie fame. Read on..
