His most recent album Mag Pai Zai marked a return to form for O'Rourke as anyone who caught his gig here back in June will testify.
Great songs, a unique voice and a personable stage presence have made him one of Ireland's most sought after live performers.
He's being called the Irish Leonard Cohen and has seen his song Galileo covered by a diverse range of artists from folk singer Eddi Reader to US superstar Josh Groban.
