The Illegals featuring Niamh Kavanagh
The Double Tribute – Dreams of Hotel California
Tickets: €15
The fabulous ILLEGALS bring their unique tribute to two of the world’s most enduring rock bands. On top of their usual immaculate recreation of the very best of The Eagles, the band has added a special tribute to those other giants of the West Coast sound – Fleetwood Mac.
The band also features the vocal talents of Niamh Kavanagh who has recently being chosen to represent Ireland once again at the Eurovision Song Contest in Oslo this May.

With the stage filled with a whopping 11 guitars, two keyboards and drums, the Illegals create a “brilliant reproduction” of the close harmony vocals, ringing acoustics and punchy rock guitar that is the legendary sound of America‘s two top bands.
With an extraordinary blend of vocal harmony and genuine musicianship, The Illegals deliver the most authentic and completely live recreation of two of the world’s greatest bands. All your Eagles favourites from ‘Desperado’ to ‘Long Road Out Of Eden’ and the very best of Fleetwood Mac including ‘The Chain’ and ‘Songbird’ - and a few surprises thrown in. All captured in an exhilarating two-hours-plus show.
You will hear superb renditions of all the Eagles favourites: Lying Eyes, Hotel California, Peaceful Easy Feelin’, New Kid In Town, Desperado, I Can’t Tell You Why, Witchy Woman, a rousing Heartache Tonight and others. Add to that a mixture of belting rock from the Fleetwood Mac back catalogue, including; Rhiannon, Dreams, Go Your Own Way and Don’t Stop - and it all adds up to a musical feast for any true music fan.
As well as Niamh Kavanagh, the band also features Paul Dean, front man from the Belfast-based Paul Dean band; Torry McGahey, bass player from the 60s showband The Freshmen; Jim Sisk, ex-Apartment keyboard player; Paul Megahey of the Niamh Kavanagh Band and Zip Code; Joe Hanratty, ex-drummer of Apartment and Peter Cochrane, guitarist with Otis and The Elevators, Zip Code and Richmond Hill.
The Illegals have been heard in many of Ireland's leading theatres and music venues including Belfast's Grand Opera House, The Belfast Empire, the Millennium Forum in Derry, Lisburn’s Island Hall and The Pavilion Theatre, Dublin and many others. They have also appeared on BBC (“A brilliant reproduction of the legendary sound of the Eagles and Fleetwood Mac”) and UTV, and are a regular hit at the summer festival circuit.
