An Grianán Theatre Club is very proud to be hosting this production of Faith Healer which features some of Donegal's finest amateur performers.
First produced in 1979, Faith Healer tells the story of Frank Hardy, a struggling faith healer who returns to his native Ireland in the hope of restoring his ailing powers. He is accompanied by his mistress Grace who has turned her back on her family to devote herself to Frank despite his cruelty and dependence on whiskey. Teddy is the seedy showbiz agent who is manager to Frank but in love with Grace.
Told in four monologues, Faith Healer is a memory play about unconditional love and is amongst Friel’s most moving works.
