The Crash Cabaret Is Open For Business!
Welcome to An Grianán Theatre's new monthly cabaret spectacular, an eclectic late-nite showcase with something for absolutely everyone, situated in our bar and foyer. Doors open at 9pm, for drinks and pre-show jams, with proceedings kicking off proper at 10pm. Ten Euro buys you a night to remember.
But what exactly is The Crash Cabaret? Anticipate a choice concoction of music, performance, spoken word, magic (of the theatrical variety), madness and a sprinkle of mayhem, all in the name of Old Fashioned Live Entertainment, followed by a selection of local superstar DJs spinning classic tunes for your dancing delectation.

Above: Neil Watkins, aka Heidi Konnt, is one of the country's most popular alt-cabaret stars.
The line-up for the first Crash bash includes the Donegal debut of alternative cabaret legend Mr. Neil Watkins, writer, actor and performer of renown - Neil's stand-up alter ego Heidi Konnt has secured him a place in the Hall Of Fame of Dublin's cabaret culture. In 2005, Heidi won 'Alternative Miss Ireland', receiving a bring-down the house reaction at the Olympia Theatre. Heidi was one of the headline acts at Electric Picnic 2009, for the ThisIsPopBaby tent, and Neil's popped up on TV in everything from the BBC crime drama George Gently to RTE comedy Val Falvey. He's also MC of The Abbey Theatre's Performance Art Club WERK and host of the infamous Chat Roulette Party in Dublin's Sugar Club.
Elsewhere on the night, you'll find the incomparable Taj Bell, amazing Derry-born acoustic psychobilly divas The Pender Sisters, superb singer-songwriter Maximum Homosapien, eclectic Letterkenny hip-hop legends Dano & B-Koz and Dungloe's own Brechtian chanteuse Lillian Holiday, along with a special appearance by Donegal Town poet Anna Calhoun, a highlight of the North West Word sessions at Letterkenny's Cafe Blend
Expect the unexpected - and spread the good word!
