They're the best Eagles tribute band in the business and they're back at An Grianán this November for what has become their annual visit to Letterkenny.
Now in their thirteenth year together, Talon have firmly established themselves as the definitive exponents of recreating the complex melodies and vocal harmonies of The Eagles. From a catalogue spanning 30 years, Talon’s performance will impress even the most discerning of Eagles fans.
Take It Easy, Desperado, Best Of My Love, Lyin’ Eyes, Take It To The Limit, Life In The Fast Lane, New Kid In Town, Hotel California, Heartache Tonight, How Long, Long Road Out Of Eden and many more…the hits go on and on, making the Eagles one of the most influential and instantly recognisable bands from America’s West Coast. The last time the Eagles released an original album, most musicians on today’s Top 40 list weren’t even born yet. The fact that the Eagles could take a 28-year break before releasing their seventh album, Long Road Out of Eden, is simply a tribute to how enduring their music is.
Based in the UK, Talon were formed in 1997, playing their first gig in January 1998. Ostensibly a five piece band, since October 2000 they have augmented the line-up with guest musicians as and when they have felt it necessary.
Over the years they have used many superb Pedal Steel players, a String Quartet, extra Keyboard and Guitars and more recently Alto and Tenor Saxophone. This constant refinement of the show means that the band always continue to keep an open mind and always endeavour to keep the show interesting and moving forward.
Fans of the original band will be blown away by just how an authentic replication of the Eagles sound that Talon have achieved. Stunning five part harmonies, instantly recognisable guitar solos, timeless melodies and awesome amounts of ability and talent have become the hallmarks of the Talon experience.
