Duke Special is a phenomenon. A folk singer who stands up at the piano and with his trademark dreadlocks he immediately gets attention but it’s his music that’s winning him legions of fans.
Hailing from Belfast, he inhabits a musical world of addictive melodies and diverse instrumentation that occasionally evokes the by-gone days of vaudeville. But his thoughtful lyrics and distinctive vocals - proudly redolent of his native city - place him right at the forefront of contemporary popular music.
