‘At one point we took on a role that became an identity and that identity now defines us. We’re a uniform, not real people. And rightly or wrongly we now view the world from that perspective.’

Green & Blue explores the painful and humorous realities faced by the individuals who patrolled the border during the height of the troubles.

Written by Laurence Mc Keown and based on an oral archive of serving An Garda Síochána and Royal Ulster Constabulary officers, the production fuses theatre and film to look at the person behind the uniform and the different experiences of two individuals on either side of a line in the ground.

Each performance will be followed by a facilitated discussion where audiences can share their experiences and thoughts on the themes of the play.
