Their special guests on the night will be The Friel Sisters from Glasgow.
The Friel Sisters
Anna, Sheila and Clare Friel are three of the most gifted young traditional musicians to come out of the Glasgow/Rosses/Gweedore area in recent times.
They play a mixture of superb music interspersed with songs sung in three voices to die for. Well known for their versatility, with Flutes, Uilleann Pipes, Fiddle, Harmonica, and Whistles they have played and sung in venues all over Ireland and the UK including Glasgow's Royal Concert Hall as part of the famous Celtic Connections Festival. They have also played with trad music legends The Chieftains and Altan.
More about Kintra
Kintra was formed in 2008 by good friends from both communities who wanted to create a musical experience that would highlight the shared elements of their respective cultures rather than seek out the differences.

Since their debut gig in The Alley Theatre, Strabane in February 2008 the group have gone from strength to strength garnering invitations to perform for President McAleese at Áras an Uachtarain and at Parliament Buildings, Stormont. After they finish their Border Crossings concerts they will be hot footing it across the Atlantic to perform at the prestigious annual Milwaukee Irish Festival in the USA.

"Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. From the music, to the costumes, to the choreography right down to the lighting - Kintra provide a rollercoaster evening of entertainment that could have been envisaged by Michael Flatley himself. If you only see one show this year, make it this one." Conor Sharkey, Strabane Chronicle
"Kintra are the best export we will be sending from the North West... one of the best phenomenon that has come out of Donegal and Tyrone ever." Jim Devenney, East Donegal Ulster Scots Association and Former Deputy Chairman of the Ulster - Scots Agency
