Myriam Rommers

Myriam Rommers

Myriam is a Dutch artist now based in Donegal. Myriam has travelled extensively having worked for more than 27 years in Mexico, Nicaragua, Guatemala and other parts of Central America. She has also participated in more than 15 collective art exhibitions in Ireland, Mexico, USA and Guatemala. Her work is characterised by her vibrant use of colour and the Donegal landscape is a major source of inspiration.

Gareth Nee

Gareth Nee

Donegal native Gareth currently works as an art teacher in St. Eunan's College, Letterkenny.

He studied classical animation and then ceramics in education at NCAD. His work encompasses his pinterest in people, architecture and the natural landscape. Whether using graphite, charcoal, pastel or clay, Gareth allows his mark making to occur in a fluent and textured manner, whilst retaining some degree of control.

Landscapes by one of Donegal's best known artists. Most of the paintings for this exhibition are executed in watercolour and mixed media, the subject matter being almost exclusively the landscape of the immediate area around Glenties with a couple of small paintings of Tuscany which Johnny visited in September.
