Harry Reid

We will be holding an informal opening for the exhibition on Thurs 11 February at 7pm. All are most welcome to attend and light refreshments will be served.
Based in Bangor, Co Down, Harry Reid is one of Northern Ireland’s best-loved artists. His beautifully-coloured paintings, often on a small scale, have a special appeal.
Harry Reid has a passion for the Atlantic seaboard. His work explores the changing seasons, weather and time of day that this westerly land has to offer. Reid moves easily between genres from these moody seascapes to abstracted sunsets and still life. However his rich use of colour is a constant in his work.
He was elected a member of the Royal Ulster Academy of Arts in 1993 and served as Secretary and Registrar until 2001.
Reid is known for his traditional landscapes and flower studies as well as his more abstract pieces. He is a regular visitor to Donegal. In 2002, he was awarded the Paul Henry prize for the best landscape at the RUA Annual Exhibition. His work was included in the OPW touring Art of the State Exhibition in 2003.

Harry Reid has shown widely in Ireland and abroad. He has been a regular exhibitor with the Nicholas Gallery in Belfast and is one of the gallery artists at Ross Fine Art, Ramelton.
His paintings and prints are represented in many public and private collections such as the UTV collection, OPW Dublin, Northern Ireland Dept of Finance and University of Limerick.
Ross Fine Art is delighted to join with An Grianán Theatre to bring this exhibition of very affordable paintings from such a well respected artist to Letterkenny.
